The 2009 Lake Forest MBA valedictorians have accomplished extraordinary academic success, graduating from the MBA Program with the highest grade point average in their classes. These individuals demonstrate their leadership by embodying the School's learning philosophy of competence, confidence and contribution.
At the 2009 Commencement Ceremony held at Navy Pier in June, Ernest C. Jones III delivered the valedictory address. Jones reflected on highlights he and his classmates experienced during the program. “Three things come to mind,” Jones said, “Unique experiences, lifelong learning and wonderful people.” In this regard, he honored those who make the Lake Forest MBA program possible, including the staff, friends of the School, faculty, families and classmates.
“Today marks the new beginning of our careers,” Jones said “Whatever your headline — your audacious goal — let us remember: it is up to each and every one of us to show the world exactly what it means to be broad thinkers and strong leaders.”
